Solving Maths Problems
There are some steps you can follow to solve a situation or a word maths problem:
1. Read the situation and identify the facts that will answer the question.
2. Choose the operation and pick a strategy to solve the problem.
3. Give a full answer to the question.

Situation → Daniela paid $650 for a pencil and $120 for an eraser.
Question → How much did Daniela pay for both items?
Facts → Pencil price $650
Eraser price $120
Operation → 650 + 120 = 770
Answer → Daniela paid $770 in total.
